Jack E. Peterson, 82, of Janesville. WI died Thursday morning, July 21, 2016 at Cedar Crest Health Center. Jack was born on March 12, 1934 in Arcadia, WI, the son of Edwin and Olga (Christiansen) Peterson. He grew up in Arcadia where he graduated from high school. Jack was an U.S. Army veteran. He married Judith Elaine Schultz on November 23, 1952. He received both bachelor and master’s degrees from UW River Falls. Jack was employed by the U. S. Government as a safety inspector for OSHA for many years prior to retiring. He loved riding bicycle, canoeing, hunting, fishing, and especially woodworking.
Jack Peterson is survived by 2 children, Lynne Marie (Joseph) Turner of St. Louis, MO, James Tyler Peterson of Janesville, 3 grandchildren, Hannah Lynne (Tony) Talecki, Daniel Joseph Turner, Heidi Kaylee Peterson, 2 great-grandchildren, Zachary Michael Talecki and Abigail Linda Talecki, 1 brother, David (Marcia) Peterson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Peterson on April 2, 2005. His parents and 4 siblings also preceded him in death.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd. Janesville. Graveside services will be  held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2016  at the Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery in Arcadia, WI , with a time of fellowship and luncheon to follow at Christ Lutheran Church in Arcadia.
